Augsburger Flughafen GmbH is the operator of Augsburg Airport.

The company has four departments:

• Airport Operations Management controls and organises the complete airport operations.
• Apron & Ground Services Their duties include technical maintenance and control, winter services, refuelling, fire brigade services, de-icing of aircraft and aircraft guidance on the apron.
• Flight & Aviation Control monitors and controls aircraft movements in the allocated airspace as well as in a defined area on the ground before take-off and after landing.
• Security monitors observation of the strict safety and security regulations, conducts safety checks and issues airport ID cards.

Moreover, due to the airport size and for other reasons all employees fulfil several functions.
